Naina Devi Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths and is situated in Himachal Pradesh. The Hindu and Sikh communities each have presiding deities at the temple. Naina Devi was given her name in honor of the well-known mythological tale of Goddess Sati. The temple represents the place of strength, or Shakti in Hindi, since it is one of the Shaktipeeths.

Located at a distance of 25 km away from Anandpur Sahib, the
Naina Devi Temple holds a significant place in Hinduism. It is one
of the Shakti Peethas in the religion. Legend is that the eyes of
the divine, powerful Shakti fell at this location and thus the temple
is named Naina Devi (eyes of the Goddess). Situated at a height
of 1219 m above sea level, it was built by Raja Bir Chand in the
8th century. With several folklores going about the temple ever
since it was built, the temple is considered very holy by the
pilgrims who pay a visit regularly.

Sri Naina Devi Ji, Bilaspur Overview

The Temple of Shri Naina Devi Ji is situated on a hilltop in Bilaspur Distt. Of Himachal Pradesh. Situated at a height of 1219 m above sea level, it was built by Raja Bir Chand in the 8th century. With several folklores going about the temple ever since it was built, the temple is considered very holy by the pilgrims who pay a visit regularly.

Naina Devi Temple has a lot of mystical folk tales surrounding it, which attracts various tourists travelling in this region. This temple was constructed on a triangular hillock and is considered one of the 52 Shakti Peeths of Sati. All the major festivals talked about in the Hindu mythology are celebrated at the temple with great vigour, turning it into a melting pot of festivities all around the year.

Mumbai to Naina Devi temple

By Air: From Mumbai, connecting flights are offered to Chandigarh airport, from where direct taxis to the temple can be hired.From Mumbai, you may take the IndiGo flight to Chandigarh. From Chandigarh, you can take the Uhl Janshatabdi train to Anandpur Sahib.

By Train: The Anandpur Sahib railway station and Chatrapati Shivaji Terminas (Mumbai) railway stations are not connected by any direct trains.A direct train service does not exist between Anandpur Sahib and Mumbai. The least expensive route from Mumbai to Anandpur Sahib is to take the Koaa Nldm Exp train from Ambala Cantt to Anandpur Sahib, after which you can take the Swaraj Express train from Mumbai to Ambala Cantt.

By Road: Anandpur Sahib and Mumbai are not connected by a direct bus. From Mumbai, you can take the Paschim Express train to Jalandhar. From Jalandhar, you can take the State Transport bus to Anandpur Sahib.

Delhi to Naina Devi temple

By Air: From Delhi, connecting flights are offered to Chandigarh airport, from where direct cabs to the temple can be hired.

By Train: There are trains that run between the Anandpur Sahib railway station in Delhi and other locations.The Anandpur station, which is located 30 miles from the temple, is where cabs can be hired.

By Road: Because Naina Devi Temple is situated near a national highway, devotees arriving by car will find it easier to get there.The temple is 350 miles from Delhi, and there are transportation buses that run between Delhi and Naina Devi.

 

 

Cuisine

Since January 3, 1994, Cuisine Trust has operated the first store in the temple complex. Visitors can get pure ghee candies including halwa, besan laddoo, jalebi, and barfi from this store. This store sells coconuts, hara meva, dhoop, and other items in addition to operating on a no-profit, no-loss basis.

The food and atmosphere of many of the restaurants around Naina Devi Temple are excellent.After exploring the Naina Devi shrine, one can visit these eateries.

lodging establishments

Temple trustees uphold the free stay policy. The trust built the Patiala Dharamshala, langar, and another motel close to the langar area, which accommodates 1,000 worshippers for free.

Temple Trust has also built Matri Aanchal, Matri Chahya, and Matri Sharan lodging shelters, each with 45 rooms and 14 dormitories, for paid stays that are maintained by the temple trustees. Staying at these locations is extremely inexpensive and minimal.

Additionally, there are numerous private lodges and hotels that are adjacent to the Naina Devi shrine.There are reputable hotels that can accommodate one.
